Product Description

These Spring Matching Activities use real photos to build spring vocabulary across three differentiated levels — picture-to-picture, picture-to-word, AND picture-to-sentence matching. Includes Match and Flip Books PLUS two Matching Mats that can be assembled into file folder games, cookie sheet activities, morning work binders, or used as-is.

🌷 Perfect for:

  • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) targeting matching, spring vocabulary, sentence comprehension, and sight word recognition goals
  • Special Education teachers building spring thematic units
  • Autism classrooms needing real-photo, multi-level differentiated visuals
  • Occupational Therapists working on visual discrimination and fine motor skills
  • ABA therapists running discrete trial matching programs
  • Early Childhood, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade teachers
  • ELL/ESL teachers building English spring vocabulary
  • Reading Intervention and RTI / MTSS teachers
  • Homeschool families with multi-age learners

🌸 What's Included:

  • Match and Flip Books with 3 differentiated levels of matching pieces:
    • Level 1: Matching Picture to Picture
    • Level 2: Matching Picture to Word (sight word recognition)
    • Level 3: Matching Picture to Sentence (sentence comprehension)

  • 2 Bonus Matching Mats — assemble into file folder games, cookie sheet activities, morning work binders, or use as-is
  • Real photos throughout — better real-world generalization than clipart
  • Big pieces for little hands and students with fine motor challenges

🎯 Skills Targeted:

Spring vocabulary, picture-to-picture matching (exact match), picture-to-word matching, picture-to-sentence matching, sight word recognition, sentence comprehension, visual discrimination, real-world object recognition, expressive and receptive language, following directions, fine motor skills (Velcro manipulation), and independent work skills.

How to Use:

Print, laminate, and add Velcro for years of use. Two assembly options:

  • Create ONE Match and Flip Book and rotate three different sets of matching pieces (one set for each student level)
  • Create THREE different books for three different levels (best for multi-student small groups)

After students have practiced with the Match and Flip Books, use the two Matching Mats as file folder games, cookie sheet activities, morning work binders, or laminated standalone mats — extending the resource's life beyond the initial book practice.

🐝 Ways to Use:

  • Spring thematic units (March through May)
  • Speech therapy spring vocabulary sessions
  • Independent work systems (TEACCH)
  • ABA discrete trial matching training
  • Reading intervention (RTI / MTSS Tier 2 & 3) — sight word + sentence comprehension
  • Morning work and homework binders
  • Literacy centers and morning meetings
  • File folder games and cookie sheet activities
  • ESL/ELL spring vocabulary lessons
  • Take-home homework and tele-therapy practice
