Spring Counting Adapted Book: Ten Butterflies | Numbers Sequencing | Pre-K SPED
Product Description
Make spring math fun and interactive with this Spring Counting Adapted Book: Ten Little Butterflies! This hands-on resource helps students practice counting, numbers 1–10, number words, simple addition (plus one), and sequencing through a playful, repetitive story.
Perfect for Pre-K, ECSE, SPED, Autism classrooms, and speech therapy, students actively participate by counting butterflies, matching numbers, and “catching” each butterfly to put in the jar—making learning engaging, meaningful, and easy to understand.
This adapted book set also includes multiple extension activities to reinforce skills through number sequencing, counting clip cards, and concept practice (up/down, high/low), making it ideal for centers, small groups, and independent workstations.
This download includes:
1 Adapted Book
1 "Put In" Activity
1 Set of Number Sequencing Strips
1 Set of Counting Clip Cards
1 Set of Up/Down Concept Clip Cards
2 Worksheets To Extend Learning
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow counting the butterflies and matching a number and number word to each page. Students will also "catch" a butterfly on each page and put it "in the jar," with a net that is attached to the book, or even a net that you provide.
Students working at an independent level may read through the spring themed adapted book in a math or literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos and video for details.)
Sample Text:
"Ten little butterflies were flying in the sky.
One flew low, and nine flew high.
Up went the butterfly but didn't get far.
Down came the net, and we put in the jar.
