Low prep — just print and add paint + Q-tips.

🌊 Perfect for:

  • Special Education teachers building fine motor IEP goals
  • Autism classrooms working on fine motor development and sensory engagement
  • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) combining ocean vocabulary with fine motor practice
  • Early Childhood, Pre-K, and Kindergarten teachers
  • ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) classrooms
  • Art teachers introducing dot art / pointillism techniques
  • Extended School Year (ESY) and summer school programs
  • Summer camps and homeschool families

🐠 What's Included:

  • 15 unique ocean-themed painting pages
  • Q-tip painting format — students dip Q-tips in paint and "dot" each picture
  • Print-and-go design — just add paint and Q-tips

🎯 Skills Targeted:

Pincer grasp (Q-tip pinch grip), tripod grasp, fine motor control, hand strength, pre-writing strokes, visual-motor integration, visual scanning, bilateral coordination, hand-eye coordination, color identification (when using multiple paint colors), ocean and marine life vocabulary, following directions, and independent work skills.

How to Use:

Print the painting pages on regular paper (or cardstock for sturdiness). Provide students with Q-tips and a small amount of washable tempera or acrylic paint. Students dip the Q-tip and "dot" the picture — building pincer grasp with every dot. To increase difficulty, give students multiple paint colors and require specific colors in specific spots. The 15-page variety lets you rotate pictures across multiple sessions without students memorizing.
