This Valentine's Day Adapted Book And Activities, "The Buzzing Little Lovebug" focuses on Valentine's Day themed vocabulary words, preposition words, position concepts (preposition words), basic comprehension skills, "wh" questions and story sequencing.

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students, as students follow along and move the lovebug into the correct position on each page. Students can also attach a matching piece to each page (included and optional). At the end of the story, students answer "wh" comprehension questions using the by matching the correct answer piece to each question page.
Students working at an independent level may read through the book and work through questions in a literacy center or independent work station. There are several extension activities included for extra practice. (Please see photos and video for details.)

A buzzing little lovebug was as "buzzy" as can be!
He buzzed over a mailbox... (Zzzz!)
And he buzzed beside a card. (Zzzz!)
He buzzed over some flowers....
that had sprung up in the yard! (Zzzz!)
He buzzed beneath a lollipop... (Zzzz!)
And past a yummy cake! (Zzzz!)
He buzzed next to a paper heart...
And felt the whole thing shake! (Zzzz!)
