The Making Inferences Adapted Books Growing Bundle is packed full of adapted books that teach basic thematic vocabulary words, focus on making inferences, and include hands-on interaction.

With these books, students identify objects by attribute, feature or function by listening to a clue, looking at real photo, and making an inference to solve the riddle.

In these activities, the teacher or therapist reads through the books with students as students try to solve each riddle by identifying the correct themed object and matching piece that best fits the description.

(Students find the picture and turn the page to see the answer revealed.)

After the students have worked through the book, there is an extension activity included where they can practice creating their own summer themed riddles. Students working independently may work through the book at a literacy center.
