These Winter Adapted Books now include both music and movement! "Winter's On The Way" (Adapted Song Book) and "Moving Through Winter" (Movement Book) teach winter themed vocabulary words through both music and movement.
The Adapted Book, "Winter's on the Way," is sung to the familiar tune, "Jingle Bells," and teaches winter vocabulary through song.
Sample Verse:
"Children skate.
Big bears sleep.
Snow falls to the ground.
Days turn cold--
Both young and old wear jackets all arou-ound!"
Students match the pictures and sing along as the teacher or therapist sings the song and moves through the pages. After the song is complete, students engage in a sorting activity that focuses on classifying winter and summer clothing.
UPDATE! I have just updated this set to include two books! Also included is a "Movement Book," that focuses on gross motor skills or motor planning, following directions and imitation skills. I have also included "Movement Cards," that go along with the book.
