Students trace the picture first, following the lines to “draw” the Valentine's Day scene. Once complete, they color the picture for extra engagement. Finally, they trace the matching word at the bottom of the page (for example: tracing and coloring a cupcake, then tracing the word cupcake.
This simple structure allows students to work independently, build stamina, and feel successful—making it ideal for centers and self-selected work.
