Product Description

Turn your integrated math circle into an active, exciting, music and movement FUN with this set of interactive music and movement props for THE ANTS GO MARCHING. Designed for Pre-K, ECSE, and early childhood classrooms, these props combine math, music, and movement for maximum engagement.

How It Works:

During circle time, students march around the room as the ANTS GO MARCHING song plays. Each child holds a numbered prop (1–10) and listens closely for their number in the song. When they hear their number, they proudly hold it up for everyone to see! At the same time, the teacher marches at the front of the line with the included anchor chart, pointing to each number as the group sings together.

Why this resource is effective for ECSE/Pre-K:
Young learners (especially students in ECSE and Pre-K) learn best through movement, music, active engagement and repetition. These visuals and props provide a multi-sensory approach that builds number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, listening skills, and participation. Students who struggle to sit can move, sing, and learn all at once — making math meaningful and fun. My students LOVE this activity, and I hope yours will too!

This resource includes:

  • Number props (1–10)
  • Anchor chart with numbers for teacher-led modeling

(Song not included; works perfectly with CoComelon’s “Ants Go Marching” on Spotify.)
