How To Use It:
This adapted book specifically focuses on the numbers 1-5 and identifying colors.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story to a small group of students as students follow along, and place the correct number of trolls on each page. They must also answer the questions: "How Many Trolls?" and "What Color?" and place the correct number and color (or number word and color word, depending on their level on each page.

This book also includes two levels of matching for differentiation.
Students working at an independent level can work through the book at a literacy center or workstation.
