Sequencing Adapted Book

This Sequencing Adapted Book, "I Can Brush My Teeth," teaches a basic five-step sequence for brushing teeth for students that need to work on oral hygiene skills or dental health.

1. Wet the toothbrush.
2. Put toothpaste on the toothbrush
3. Brush teeth.
4. Spit out toothpaste.
5. Rinse Mouth

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the books to students, as students follow along and match the correct step or picture to each page.  At the end of the book, students sequence all five steps for brushing teeth.

Students may also practice sequencing the tooth brushing sequence with an included sequencing stick activity. After students have practiced with the adapted book, they may complete the cut and glue worksheet included.
