Zoo Adapted Book: "I See" At the Zoo
Product Description
This Zoo Adapted Book, "I See," At the Zoo focuses on identifying zoo animals by attribute, or function and includes real photos of zoo animals.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads through the book with students as students try to solve the riddle by identifying the zoo animal and matching piece that best fits the description.
Sample Text:
"I see. I see.
What can it be?
It's something that has a long beak...
(Students find the picture and turn the page to see the answer revealed.)
It's a flamingo!
That's right!
A flamingo has a long beak."
After the students have worked through the book, there is an extension activity included where they can practice creating their own zoo themed riddles. Students working independently may work through the book at a literacy center.
