This Groundhog Day Activity includes an adorable cookie sheet story and a complimenting writing activity. In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the Groundhog Day poem to a small group of students and manipulates the pieces on a cookie sheet as he/she reads. After the story the teacher can incorporate the story pieces into comprehension questions. When the story is complete, students complete a writing activity where they write/draw a prediction about what the Groundhog will do on Groundhog Day.
