This Farm Adapted Book & Activities, Farmer Works Hard is a fun hands-on farm-themed literacy activity for preschool, Pre-K, kindergarten, special education, autism classrooms, and speech therapy. This interactive resource helps students practice farm vocabulary, the core word WHY, basic comprehension, WH questions, and story sequencing through repeated text, rhyme, and active participation.

This printable set includes an interactive adapted book, story sequencing strips, thematic vocabulary cards, a counting activity, and 4 extension worksheets for extra practice. As the teacher or therapist reads the story, students follow along by matching picture or vocabulary pieces to each page, then answer comprehension questions at the end. It is a great fit for small groups, literacy centers, workstations, and therapy sessions, especially for students who benefit from visual supports, repetition, and hands-on learning.

With this adapted book, the teacher or therapist reads the story while students follow along matching at thematic picture or vocabulary word (or both!) to each page depending on their level. After the story, students will answer basic -wh or comprehension questions by matching the correct answer piece to each page.

There are also several extension activities included, including: story sequencing, vocabulary matching, sorting and classification activities, and more.
