Dental Health Adapted Books

These Dental Health Adapted Books are going to be so much for dental heath, dental hygiene or teeth units and themes.

In this download, there are two dental health adapted books included:

I Can Brush Ten Teeth

and

This Is How We Brush Our Teeth

The first adapted book, "I Can Brush Ten Teeth," focuses on simple counting skills, number identification, number word identification and tooth brushing practice. On each page, the students will identify the number and number word, count the teeth, trace the number word and brush the teeth with an attached toothbrush. Students will practice "brushing the plaque away," that is colored in with dry erase marker. (Please see included video for a better understanding.)

Sample Text:

I can brush one tooth.

I can brush today.

Up and down, side to side.

Brush the plaque away!

I can brush two teeth.

I can brush today.

Up and down, side to side.

Brush the plaque away!

With the second adapted book, students learn and sequence the steps to brushing teeth. The will match the steps to each page, sequence them in order and also practice brushing teeth at the end of the book.

Sample Text:

This is how we brush our teeth

to get them really clean.

First we get our toothbrush wet--

step one of our routine.

Next we squirt our toothpaste on

to keep bad breath at bay.

Then we brush, brush, brush our teeth

and brush the plaque away!
