Product Description
These Compound Words Activities provide students an interactive way to practice building compound words. This set includes 1 interactive or adapted book, 1 set of "clip stick" activities, and a recording sheet.
With this set, students will make 6 different compound words, by combining 12 different word parts.
In a small group or one on one teaching situation, the teacher or therapist can work through the book with students as they practice building compound words by putting together the correct interactive matching pieces. There are two sets of pieces included for differentiation. Level one includes words with visuals. Level two just includes words. Students working independently make work through the books in a literacy center.
After students have practiced with the book, students can complete the "clip stick" activities independently in a center or work station. With these activities, the student practices making compound words on a paint stirrer, using pieces that are attached to clothespin. There is also a recording sheet included, so that students can record the words they made.
