Product Description

Behavior Task Cards | Calming Strategies & Coping Skills are a hands-on social skills resource for preschool, Pre-K, kindergarten, special education, autism classrooms, school counseling, and behavior support. These task cards help students identify appropriate and inappropriate calming strategies, build coping skills, and practice self-regulation in a clear and engaging way.

This printable set includes 54 behavior task cards that focus on ways to stay calm, calm down, and make positive behavior choices. Use them in small groups, social skills lessons, centers, independent workstations, or behavior review activities. Students can respond with clothespins, paper clips, dry erase markers, or oral discussion, making the set flexible for a variety of learners and settings.

In this task card set, students look at the behavior shown on the card and determine if it is a "Go Behavior," or an appropriate way to keep self-regulate, or or a "No Behavior, or an inappropriate way to self-regulate. If you think this terminology is too confusing for your students, you can call them "Happy/Sad Behaviors," or "Expected/Unexpected Behaviors."

These tasks cards are great for small group discussions and social skills groups as well.

If your students enjoy these activities, there are many more task cards activities in my collection. Please see the complete collection below:
