This Halloween Adapted Book For Movement And Imitation Skills, "Betty Can, Can You?" is a fun way to get students to practice imitation skills, body parts, gross motor movements--and incorporates yoga poses although they are not called out by name. This book can also be used as an interactive adapted book and includes a matching piece for each pose.
This activity is meant to be used as a transition activity, a brain break, and to settle students between an active activity (cafeteria, recess) into a calmer activity. The teachers or therapist reads the book, as students follow along and copy the bat's poses. This activity is also great for the Halloween season.
