These Functional Sight Words Matching Mats: Kitchen Words focus on kitchen words and provide a versatile way for students to practice with functional sight words or words they might encounter while cooking or following a recipe.

This set includes 6 different matching mats that focus on things we might see in a kitchen and incorporates real photos.

On each mat, students match the correct functional sight word to each real photo. There are two levels of matching provided for differentiation. Level 1 includes visual support. Level two includes words only.

Use these activities in centers and workstations assembled as is, assembled into binder word, assembled into a file folder game, or assembled into a cookie sheet activity.
