The "Are Insects" Flip Strips are an insect or animal groups-themed activity.  In this activity, students complete each sentence strip with a picture/word card and read the sentence. In this set, the picture card comes at the beginning of the sentence to complete the sentence "______ are insects."Set includes:  butterflies, dragonflies, grasshoppers, mosquitoes, ants, bees, ladybugs, and flies. Flip strips build and reinforce beginning reading skills and language skills through repetition.

This flipstrips set  also includes a student recording sheet so that students may record their answers.

Flipstrips activities work well in science centers, reading centers or independent workstations.
