This Apples Adapted Book, "Where is Wormy Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the worm's position in relation to the colored apple or apples on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Wormy hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (on top of) the green apple,
As we can plainly see!"
