This Halloween Adapted Book, "Where is Frankie Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the monster's position in relation to the colored bat or bats on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Frankie hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (behind) the yellow bat,
As we can plainly see!"
