This Real and Make Believe Adapted Book And Activities (Vol 2) includes:
1 adapted book: "Something Is Silly"
1 sorting activity
3 practice worksheets.
With this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the adapted book, "Something is Silly" with students as students follow along and identify what is "silly" in each picture. Students will match the "real" picture to each page that corresponds with the "silly" picture.
Sample Text:
"Something is silly.
What can it be?
Look at the picture.
What do you see?
Something is silly.
What can it be?
Look at the picture.
What do you see?
Oh silly, silly! Make it stop!
A bottom bun doesn't go on top!
How is a hamburger bun supposed to look?
(Answer: Top bun on top, bottom bun on bottom)

Students reading and working independently can work through the book in a literacy center.
After students have worked through the book, there is a sorting activity that can be used for independent practice or small group activity. In this activity, students sort picture pairs into two categories: real/silly (make-believe).
There are also 3 worksheets included that can be used for extra practice or for assessment purposes.
