This Halloween Adapted Book, "The Monsters With No Manners" is fun and interactive Halloween themed adapted book that focuses on basic Halloween themed vocabulary, matching skills, Wh-questions. and the social skills around trick or treating. Two complete books are included in this download!
In this interactive activity, a teacher or therapist reads story, as students follow along and match a picture piece to each page. At the end of the story, students answer basic comprehension questions by choosing the correct answer piece that goes with each page.
Students working at an independent level can read and work through the book at a literacy center or independent work station
What happens when Monsters Have No Manners? Well Halloween is really no fun at all! :) Students learn how to trick or treat from our rude little monsters who need a lot of work on their social skills! :)

"There were monsters with no manners,
who were walking down the street.
They were hoping for some candy,
so they stopped to trick or treat.
"Mine!" yelled the monster.
"Eeewwww" whined the witch,
"Now," growled the werewolf in a slow and rumbling pitch...."
This download includes two complete books! In addition to the "Monsters With No Manners," book, there is also a how to book called, "This Is How We Go Trick or Tricking," which directly teaches the steps for trick or treating for our students who have difficulty with social skills. It also doubles as a sequencing activity for students working on sequencing. (See photos for details.)
