In this interactive activity, a teacher or therapist reads the story, as students follow along and match a picture piece to each page. At the end of the story, students answer basic comprehension questions by choosing the correct answer piece that goes with each page.
Students working at an independent level can read and work through the book at a literacy center or independent work station. The book includes plenty of repetitive text and rhyme for beginning readers.
In this silly farm story, there is trouble on the farm. The horse has gone missing and none of the farm friends can seem to find it!
Sample Text:
"Where is the horse? Where did she go?
Haddie tried to find her, but she really didn't know!
She looked beside the haystack, and she said, "Not there, of course."
She found a pudgy piglet but she didn't find the horse!"
"Where is the horse? Where did she go?
Harvey tried to find her, but he really didn't know!
He looked above the haystack, and he said, "Not there, of course."
He found a crunching cow but he didn't find the horse!"
