This Turkey Adapted Book, "I See Parts of a Turkey" focuses on identifying the parts of a turkey, and making inferences. Students identify the parts of a turkey by by listening to a clue, looking at real photos and making an inference.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads through the book with students as students try to solve each riddle by identifying the pumpkin themed object and matching piece that best fits the description.
Sample Text:

That's right!
The head is the part of the turkey that holds the eyes and the beak.
After the students have worked through the book, there is an extension activity included where they can practice creating their own summer themed riddles. Students working independently may work through the book at a literacy center.
