These Comparing Numbers Task Cards include 3 differentiated sets of task cards with a total of 60 cards included that focus on the concepts of "greater than," "less than" and "equal."

On each task card, students are given two numbers, and have to decide whether the first number is "greater than," "less than," or "equal to" the second.

Task Cards Included:

Set 1 (Level 1)--Focuses on comparing numbers under 20, using the alligator graphic to demonstrate "greater than" or "less than."

Set 2 (Level 2)--Focuses on comparing numbers under 50, using the alligator graphic to demonstrate "greater than" or "less than."

Set 3 (Level 3)--Focuses on comparing numbers under 100, using standard greater than/less than signs.

Use these task cards in independent workstations, math learning centers or a small group setting.  Students may complete them as a clothespin task, paperclip task, marker task, or answer questions orally in a small group setting (see preview for details).
