This Zoo Adapted Book, "Where is Zebra Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words. Students follow a silly zebra as he hides among different colored zoo animals.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the zebra's position in relation to the colored zoo animals on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads.
Students working at an independent level can work through the book in a workstation or literacy center.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Zebra hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (behind) the purple rhino,
As we can plainly see!"
