These Gingerbread Man Adapted Books now include music and movement! 

"I Had a Little Gingerbread" is an adapted song book and "Moving Like a Gingerbread Man" is a movement book that focuses on gross motor movements. Adapted Song Books teach and review common vocabulary words through hands-on interaction and support language and literacy through song.

Students will sing a re-telling of the "Gingerbread Man" and match story pieces to each page as the teacher or therapist moves through book. This book is sung to the common schoolyard song, " The Lady With the Alligator Purse/Miss Lucy Had a Baby."

Sample Verse:

I had a little Gingerbread,
I worked so hard to make.
I put him in the oven, 
just to see if he would bake.
He jumped out of the oven.
He jumped onto the floor.
And the my little Gingerbread, 
ran straight through the door!

At the end of the story, students work through a labeling activity as they label the parts of a gingerbread man.

UPDATE! I have just updated this set to include two books! Also included is a "Movement Book," that focuses on gross motor skills or motor planning, following directions and imitation skills. I have also included "Movement Cards," that go along with the book.
