These "CVC Words" Binder Activities provide students with basic practice for spelling CVC words. This set focuses on short e words and includes real photos.
There are three sets included for three different levels of differentiation--or to allow students to move through the levels as they master them. The Level 1 binder focuses on spelling simple CVC words by matching letters. The Level 2 binder focuses on spelling CVC words by using the word as a visual prompt. The Level 3 binder focuses on spelling the word without any visual prompts, either by segmenting the sounds and spelling it, or spelling the word from memory. (See Photos For Examples)
There are 10 spelling mats in each set that include the following words:
net, bed, pen, jet, gem, fed, red, web, wet, hen
These activities work well in centers, work stations and small groups. Assemble them into a binder, assemble them as is, assemble them in to file folder games--or do all three. It's really your choice! :)
