At an independent workstation, center or language group, students complete the following sorting and classification activities.
Sorting See
Sorting Hear
Sorting Taste
Sorting Touch
Sorting Smell
On each mat, students determine things that we see, hear, taste, touch and smell. There may be more than one right answer (ie. we can hear a drum but we can also see a drum). This can help initiate discussions about our 5 senses and how they work together!
To increase or decrease difficulty for students, increase or decrease the number of mats or senses that you give them to sort at once.
