This Turkey Adapted Book, "Where is Turkey Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify the turkey's position in relation to each colored feather on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Turkey hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (between) the blue feathers,
As we can plainly see!"
