This Ocean Adapted Book: "Where is Seahorse Hiding?" is an ocean or seahorse themed interactive book that teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify Seahorse's position in relation to each colored fish on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Seahorse hiding?
Where can she be?
She's ________ (behind) the orange fish,
As we can plainly see!"
