This Polar Bear Adapted Book, "Where is Polly Hiding?" teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify Polly's position in relation to each colored hat on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation.
Sample Verse:
"Where is Polly hiding?
Where can he be?
He's ________ (between) the green hats,
As we can plainly see!"
