Zoo Adapted Book

This Zoo Adapted Book: "Where is Ellie Hiding?" is a zoo or elephant themed interactive book that teaches prepositions or positional words and reinforces colors and color words. 

In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads the story as the students identify Ellie's position in relation to each colored giraffe on each page. Students will match a position or preposition card to each page as the teacher reads. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or independent workstation. 

Sample Verse:

"Where is Ellie hiding?

Where can she be?

She's ________ (beside) the red giraffe,

As we can plainly see!"
