This Bunny Adapted Book: Busy Busy Bunny Town " is a bunny themed adapted book that focuses on the -Wh Question word, "Who," making inferences, community helpers themes, and basic comprehension skills by having students answer the question, "Who Will Help...."
In this activity, a teacher or therapist reads the story, as students follow along and answer the riddle on each page, by choosing the correct interactive matching piece.
Sample Text:
"Busy, busy Bunny Town,
they're busy 'till the sun goes down.
They're busy 'till the day is through.
There's lots of bunny work to do.
Busy, busy Bunny Town,
they're up and hopping all around.
But if they're in a hungry mood--
who will bring the bunnies food?
The pizza delivery bunny! When it's time to deliver "lettuce lovers," and "crunchy carrot" pizzas, he hops right to it!
Busy, busy Bunny Town,
It's busy 'till the sun goes down.
Bunnies can't just bounce and roam.
Who will help them build a home?
The builder bunny! Hanging up cabbage light fixtures, and crafting celery stalk furniture are his specialties.
Busy, busy Bunny Town,
they're up and hopping all around.
But if a bunny's feeling ill--
who prescribes a bunny pill?
The doctor bunny! He says, "Drink lots of beet juice. Eat two tomato tablets and call me in the morning!"

After the story, you can expand the activity by using the question cards provided. These question cards focus on different types of "Who" questions, and are differentiated for multiple learning levels. Students answer the questions by choosing the correct matching pieces provided.
Students working at an independent level can read and work through the book at a literacy center or independent work station.
